What to do in a disaster?
As Australia heads into another bushfire season, it’s important to know your disaster recovery and business continuity plan. If your business gets damaged, or stuck in the middle of a natural disaster, here’s the essentials to know:
- Contact your IT team to initiate Disaster Recovery Plan.
- If there is any damage to premises, take steps required to commence work in other location/s.
- Consider any on-site equipment or systems that are business critical and need to be replaced.
- If staff are to work remotely, provide direct contact details so your IT team can get in contact and ensure they have remote access.
- If you are still able to get online, data still there.
- Redundancy systems will kick in such as internet 4G backup, phone failover trunk, and UPS backup power source to critical systems.
